Job Summary:
Coordinate, and execute events and programs for students on the Duluth Campus to curate social connection, a sense of belonging, and an overall enjoyable atmosphere
Manage all aspects of an event from pre-planning, determining resource needs, pre-event marketing, on-site coordination, to post-event follow up
Order supplies needed for events and ensure items arrive in a timely fashion
Assist in vendor/performer selection and negotiating the best possible rates and terms
Develop effective and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Supervise events, provide a welcoming atmosphere and general direction to attendees
Plan and execute pre-event marketing while implementing creative marketing
Create marketing and advertisements for eventsRunning errands quickly throughout shifts
Maintain advertising spaces designated to the Student Activities office
Provide psychological analysis when requested
Retrieve supplies when neededWork office hours and shifts at the port, completing office tasks while on shift including emails, phones, pop-up events, and social media inquiries among other tasks
Keep the office area clean and tidy
Become an active member of Saintslife Campus Activities Board
This position reports to the Director of Student ActivitiesOther duties may be assigned and/or necessary
Job Qualifications:
Must be a current or incoming CSS student Federal work study eligibility is required
Computer skills required; prefer experience with MS Office Products
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential
Strong customer service orientation and the ability to interact with a wide variety of people in a friendly, professional manner requiredStrong organizational and time management skills required
Ability to remain calm and efficient in a busy office environment with frequent interruptions is important
Typing proficiency requiredJob functions require sitting, standing, and walking during a shift
Professional presence to represent the College to the public requiredAbility to perform all of the above functions during an assigned workday without significant risk of injury
