Responsibilities

  • Support Sales and Events team with clerical tasks.
  • Assist in pre-event preparation and POS operations.
  • Handle email and Zoom calls professionally.
  • Receive and distribute mail and packages.
  • Assist in event planning and setup/takedown.
  • Run ticketing and POS for pop-up shops during events.
  • Maintain tidy office area and equipment.

Salary Range: $14.00 To $14.00 Hourly

Job Purpose/Description

Support the Sales and Events team with clerical tasks, pre-event preparation, point of sale (POS), and event assistance for all campus events.

Job Duties

  • Operate office equipment; faxing, scanning, printing, and copying of documents
  • Answer Zoom calls and transfer calls to appropriate staff
  • Answer emails with professionalism and accuracy
  • Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail and packages
  • Prepare outgoing mail and packages for distribution
  • Assemble and compile basic data according to specific instructions
  • Retrieve and organize supplies
  • Assist in the planning of events (i.e. poster design, hanging signs, set up, take down)
  • Attend events to run the ticketing and/or POS for the pop-up shops, to usher, and/or assist the head audio tech
  • Keep office area neat and orderly
  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a current or incoming CSS student
  • Federal work study eligibility is required (international students exempt)
  • Must be responsible, dependable, and detailed oriented
  • Must have the ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently
  • Must have time management skills
  • Must have the ability to accurately record credit card and cash payments
  • Good work ethic, positive attitude and acceptable attendance required
  • Computer skills required; experience and proficiency with MS Office Suite and Google Suite required
  • Willingness to learn and use software (i.e. Shopify, Canva)
  • Must have the ability to interact professionally with a wide variety of people
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Job functions require sitting, standing, lifting and walking
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform the above job duties above without the risk of significant injury
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be willing and able to work outside of regular office hours including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sophomore or greater
  • Driver's license helpful (with a clean driving record)

Special Instructions

  • Hours per week: up to 10 hours; more hours may be required during high volume event weeks
