Qualifications

  • Must be a current or incoming CSS student; Federal work-study eligible.
  • Computer skills; MS Office experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and professional demeanor.
  • Good attendance and ability to work in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute events and programs for students on the Duluth Campus.
  • Manage all aspects of events from pre-planning to post-event follow up.
  • Order supplies and ensure timely arrival.
  • Assist in vendor/performer selection and negotiate rates/terms.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supervise events and provide a welcoming atmosphere for attendees.
  • Plan pre-event marketing and create marketing materials.
  • Maintain advertising spaces and handle office tasks during shifts.
  • Participate as an active member of Saintslife Campus Activities Board.
  • Report to the Director of Student Activities and perform other duties as needed.

Job Summary
  • Coordinate, and execute events and programs for students on the Duluth Campus to curate social connection, a sense of belonging, and an overall enjoyable atmosphere
  • Manage all aspects of an event from pre-planning, determining resource needs, pre-event marketing, on-site coordination, to post-event follow up
  • Order supplies needed for events and ensure items arrive in a timely fashion
  • Assist in vendor/performer selection and negotiating the best possible rates and terms
  • Develop effective and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Supervise events, provide a welcoming atmosphere and general direction to attendees
  • Plan and execute pre-event marketing while implementing creative marketing
  • Create marketing and advertisements for eventsRunning errands quickly throughout shifts
  • Maintain advertising spaces designated to the Student Activities office
  • Provide psychological analysis when requested
  • Retrieve supplies when neededWork office hours and shifts at the port, completing office tasks while on shift including emails, phones, pop-up events, and social media inquiries among other tasks
  • Keep the office area clean and tidy
  • Become an active member of Saintslife Campus Activities Board
  • This position reports to the Director of Student ActivitiesOther duties may be assigned and/or necessary
Job Qualifications
  • Must be a current or incoming CSS student Federal work study eligibility is required
  • Computer skills required; prefer experience with MS Office Products
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential
  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to interact with a wide variety of people in a friendly, professional manner requiredStrong organizational and time management skills required
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient in a busy office environment with frequent interruptions is important
  • Typing proficiency requiredJob functions require sitting, standing, and walking during a shift
  • Professional presence to represent the College to the public requiredAbility to perform all of the above functions during an assigned workday without significant risk of injury
