Eastern Kentucky University seeks a Student Accounting Services Specialist to provide cross-functional support across student accounts, refunds, collections, and 1098-T reporting while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

The Specialist serves as a primary resource for students, parents, and campus stakeholders by delivering exceptional customer service via phone, email, and online chat, guiding on institutional policies and procedures and supporting operations across the office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Two years of experience required; experience with student financial services, internal or external collections, and accounting/finance preferred.

Responsabilités

• Processes student refunds and assists with pre-collect and collection activities.
• Responds to incoming phone calls, chats and emails regarding general office and student account inquiries while providing excellent customer service.
• Manages multiple tasks involving 1098T processing, account reconciliations, invoices, data audits, former student payment plans, and bankruptcy notifications.
• Supports office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned.
