Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Student Accounting Services Specialist is responsible forproviding comprehensive support across multiple functional areaswithin the office and serving as a cross-trained resource to assiststaff as needed. The position requires in-depth knowledge ofcurrent and former student accounts, collection accounts, studentrefunds, and 1098-T tax reporting processes. The incumbent mustmaintain a working knowledge of all applicable federal, state, andinstitutional regulations governing these areas and ensurecompliance in the administration of related duties.

The Specialist serves as a primary resource for students, parents,and campus stakeholders by delivering exceptional customer serviceand responding to inquiries through phone, email, and online chatinteractions. This role provides accurate guidance, resolvesaccount-related questions, and assists individuals in understandinginstitutional policies and procedures. The position also supportsoperational continuity within the Student Accounting Services teamby providing service coverage across multiple functions whilefostering a positive, professional, and customer-focusedexperience.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree required. Degree inAccounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

Experience: Two years of experience is required.Experience with student financial services, internal or externalcollections, and accounting or finance is preferred.
