Position Summary

This position is primarily responsible for handling student account inquiries by phone, email and in person. Facilitating payments as they are made in person, online, by mail or by financial aid is also a main job function. Delivering exceptional customer service to all of the Elon University community is essential.

Minimum Required Education and Experience

Associate degree, or vocational or technical school degree in Business or Finance with minimum 1 year of experience with the following relevant work experience: Experience with Microsoft Office products, strong Excel skills required.

  • Knowledge of Ellucian Colleague and Informer software desired.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional and productive working relationships at all levels across the University.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast paced environment.
Preferred Education and Experience

Associate degree, or vocational or technical school degree in Business or Finance

Strong skills in the areas of conflict resolution and problem solving techniques.

Exceptional critical thinking skills demonstrated by the ability to analyze information, evaluate results, and facilitate resolution.

Job Duties

  • Answering telephone calls, as well as departmental email and general customer service tasks related to serving students, faculty and staff.
  • Invoice and reconcile departmental charges assessed to student accounts and Process petty cash reimbursements.
  • Process students for enrollment based on payments and notice of financial aid and assist in all registration events.
