TYLin is looking for an intern to join our Austin, TX office for the Summer of 2027. As a Buildings Engineering Intern, you'll gain the opportunity to immerse yourself in diverse projects.

Our structural engineering services for vertical structures include new construction projects, renovation, adaptive reuse, and historic preservation. This internship is your chance to be part of a collaborative community where you can expand your knowledge and sharpen your skills through hands‑on meaningful

Qualifications

• Requires current 3rd year standing in an accredited Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering program (structures focus).
• Completion of steel and concrete design classes preferred; completion of at least one required.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel and engineering software.
• Familiarity with REVIT Structure beneficial.
• Co-op/Internship in commercial/institutional/residential buildings would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Work with the project team to assist in preparing structural design and drawings for buildings from concept through construction.
• Perform field reviews for projects under construction and document existing conditions.
• Become familiar with engineering plans and details.
• Assist with computer modeling and hand calculations.
