Job summary

TYLin seeks a Buildings Engineering Intern for its San Antonio, TX office for Summer 2027. You will assist the project team with structural design for commercial, institutional, and residential buildings, from concept through construction, while gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include field reviews, documenting existing conditions, and supporting modeling and calculations using engineering software.

Qualifications

• Current 3rd year undergrad or grad student in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a focus on structures.
• Completion of steel and concrete design classes preferred, or at least one class.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel and engineering software.
• Familiarity with REVIT Structure is beneficial.
• Co-op/internship experience in commercial, institutional, or residential buildings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist project team in preparing structural design and drawings for buildings from concept through construction.
• Conduct field reviews and document existing conditions on projects under construction or for existing buildings.
• Review engineering plans and details; contribute to modeling and hand calculations.
