Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking an experienced welder/fabricator to lay out, align and weld fabricated components into structural forms according to blueprints and metallurgy. The role requires operating various welding processes and reading technical drawings to ensure accurate assemblies.

The position involves working with piping, tanks, vessels and shells in a safety-conscious environment, with opportunities to handle diverse materials and perform shop and field tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of weld symbols and blueprints.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, align and weld components per blueprints.
• Select pipes, materials and equipment per specs.
• Perform various welding processes (GMAW, FCAW, GTAW) as required.
• Weld in multiple positions (flat, vertical, overhead).
• Inspect welds for size and quality and perform finishing as needed.
