Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Structural Staff Engineer to join our Renewables Division in Minnesota.

The role focuses on structural design of foundations and ancillary structures for utility-scale wind and solar facilities, delivering calculations, reports, specifications, and plans. You will support Engineering Leads and Project Managers, provide technical assistance across projects, and contribute to day-to-day project delivery while maintaining high quality and attention

Qualifications

Enrolled in an ABET accredited B.S. program in civil/structural engineering.
Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) a must.
Effective verbal communication and technical writing skills.
Ability to pay close attention to detail, follow processes, and check the quality of own work.
Ability to use sound engineering judgment.
Ability to manage time and workload effectively, including planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to detail.
Minimal travel possible.

Responsibilities

Responsible for structural design of foundations and ancillary structures for utility scale wind and solar facilities.
Prepares structural design calculations, reports, specifications, and plans.
Assists Engineering Leads and Project Managers in the drafting and design of utility scale solar projects.
Provides professional and technical support to multiple Westwood projects.
Delivers day-to-day support and input to internal and external Project Managers.
