Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join our renewable energy team in a full-time role.

You will design foundations and related structures for wind, solar, and transmission projects, prepare design reports, and support field activities during construction. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in civil/structural engineering from ABET-accredited programs, at least 2 years of experience, and professional certification such as EIT/FE or PE; S.E.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering from an ABET accredited college.
• EIT/FE or PE certification required; S.E. registration is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of structural engineering work experience.
• Familiar with IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, ACI 318.
• Knowledge of foundations, including spread footings, slab-on-grade, piles, caissons.

Responsibilities

• Designs structural foundations and ancillary structures for utility-scale wind, solar, transmission lines, and substations.
• Prepares or directs structural design reports, specifications, and plans.
• Reviews submittals, RFIs, and supports field activities during construction.
• Provides professional and technical support to multiple Westwood projects.
• Supports Project Managers with day-to-day input and coordination.
