Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. seeks a Structural Staff Engineer to join its Renewables Division. You will be part of a team providing high-level professional services to clients in wind and solar projects.

Responsibilities include designing foundations and ancillary structures, preparing calculations and plans, and supporting project managers. ABET-credited civil/structural engineering students encouraged to apply; minimal travel.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ABET accredited civil/structural engineering program.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills.
• Attention to detail and adherence to processes.
• Ability to exercise sound engineering judgment.
• Ability to manage time and workload with planning.
• Minimal travel required.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design of foundations and ancillary structures for utility-scale wind and solar facilities.
• Prepare design calculations, reports, specifications, and plans.
• Assist leads and PMs in drafting and design of utility-scale solar projects.
• Provide professional and technical support to multiple Westwood projects.
• Deliver day-to-day support to internal and external Project Managers.
