The purpose of thisposition istoprovide theessential administrativeprocesses, technical knowledge andleadershipasdescribed below.Thispositionhasoversightofaspecificareaand actsasarepresentativeof theengineering discipline ensuring technical accuracy in project execution inall phases. This isalead position onassigned projects performing engineering assignments of advanced complexity.

*Undergeneral supervision oftheDisciplineLeadEngineer,serveasanAreaLeadproviding guidance/supervision to other engineers and designers

*Analyzeandmakeindependentrecommendationsregardingtechnicalsolutionstoproblems of advanced complexity inaccordance with project requirements

*Developandreviewspecificationsanddesigncriteria

*Performandcheckengineeringanalysesandcalculations; specifymaterials,equipmentand systems; and solve technical problems of advanced complexity

*Coordinatetechnicalissueswithotherdisciplines,projectmanagement,vendorsandclients

*ExecuteworkincompliancewithProjectQualityPlanandprocedures

*Executeworkinaccordancewiththeapprovedprojectscope,costandschedulebaselines

*Developandreviewestimates,schedulesandprogressreportsincludingeffort-hour estimating and staff forecasting

*Establish,controlandreportonmaterialkeyquantities;provideanalysisandforecasts

*Provide technical support toactivitiesassociated withequipment and material procurement andsubcontractingincludingscopesofwork,technicalbidevaluationsandreviewofvendor submittals

*Providetechnicalsupporttoactivitiesassociatedwithconstructionadministrationincluding response to construction requests-for-informationand field changes

Basic Job Requirements

*U.S.Citizenshiprequired

*BachelorofSciencedegreeinCivilorStructural Engineering andminimum ten(10)yearsof work-related experience

*ProfessionalEngineerlicense

*Workingknowledgeofapplicablefederal(includingDepartmentofEnergyorders),state, and local codes and standards

*Abilitytocommunicate effectively withaudiences thatincludebutarenotlimited toproject management, coworkers, clients, vendors, and subcontractors

*Jobrelatedtechnical knowledgenecessarytocompletethejob

*Advancedknowledgeofdisciplinecodesandstandards

*Ability toperform workincompliancewithapplicable local,state,andfederalcodes,statutes and guidelines

*ProficiencyexecutinglargeEPCprojectsutilizingengineeringanalysis,3Dmodelingand2D computer-aided drafting and design (CADD) automation tools in a multi-discipline environment

*Advancedknowledgeofcommercialavailabilityandcostofmaterials

*Experience withdesignofsystems,structuresandcomponentsfornuclearfacilitiesunderthe requirements of ASME NQA-1

*Demonstratedexperiencemanagingandleadinglargeprojects

*Proficiencywithprojectset-up,developmentofcontrol-levelschedules,progressreporting and project close-out

*Practicalfieldexperience

*EPCprojectexperienceforthefollowing industries:

• 
  Design and analysis of steel and concrete structures (reinforced concrete and structural steel) experience.

OR

• Design and analysis of commodity supports experience.

AND

• Proficient in STAADPro, Excel, and MathCad

AND

Code experience with ACI 318-14, 349-13, AISC N690-18, ASCE 7-16, 4-16, 43-19 as well as experience with IBC-2018
