Job summary

McMillen, Inc. seeks a Structural Project Engineer with 5–10 years of experience focused on water resource work, including fishery-related projects, hydropower, dams, and related infrastructure.

The candidate will work on diverse projects across the water resources sector, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and engaging in design, analysis, and field support. Travel to project sites is expected up to 15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from an accredited University.
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer in water resources.
• P.E. or P.Eng. licensure a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Design Documentation Reports and technical memorandums.
• Perform structural computations and analysis per codes and methods.
• Develop project details and drawings by hand or CAD.
• Review submittals and respond to RFIs during construction.
• Develop FEA models and present results to clients clearly.
• Collect field data and assess existing conditions for design criteria.
• Provide mentorship to other engineering staff.
