IMEG Corp. seeks a Structural Project Engineer in Los Angeles to lead design efforts for low to moderate complexity projects, acting as project manager or lead engineer. You will mentor staff, collaborate across disciplines and ensure designs meet IMEG quality standards.

The role emphasizes safety, client communication, and budget/schedule oversight. The Los Angeles team focuses on education and healthcare projects, with opportunities to contribute to SE2050 sustainable design goals and EMS

Qualifications

• BS in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering required.
• 2 years minimum experience; 4+ preferred in building design consulting.
• PE License required; design techniques and tools proficiency.
• Strong technical and analytical skills including mechanics and materials.
• Ability to train and mentor less experienced staff.
• Proficiency in BIM and standard engineering software; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis and design of structural systems for buildings using various materials.
• Interact with clients to understand needs and gather project requirements.
• Lead project planning, budgeting, and scheduling tasks to meet deadlines.
• Provide in-process design reviews and ensure IMEG quality standards are met.
• Document design decisions and monitor progress and fees.
• Collaborate with senior engineers/consultants to develop practical solutions.
