Job summary

Tradesmen International is seeking an experienced Structural Flux Core Welder for night shift in the Pocatello, ID area. You will perform structural welding on steel beams and assemblies, read weld symbols, and adhere to Welding Procedure Specifications to ensure quality workmanship.

This role offers up to $35/hour based on experience plus $120 per diem for travelers 60+ miles from the jobsite. If you are a skilled welder, you’ll join a team that values safety, productivity, and craftsmanship on

Qualifications

• Previous structural steel welding experience required.
• Strong FCAW (Flux-Core Arc Welding) experience
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and weld symbols
• Experience working with heavy structural steel and fabricated assemblies preferred
• Experience working from WPS requirements
• AWS or other recognized structural welding certifications preferred
• Current or expired welding certifications are encouraged
• Ability to meet welding quality and production standards
• Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work in a fast-paced fabrication environment

Responsibilities

• Perform structural welding on steel beams, columns, and fabricated assemblies
• Weld light and heavy structural steel in a fabrication shop environment
• Complete structural steel prefabrication for data center projects
• Perform FCAW (Flux-Core Arc Welding) in accordance with project specifications
• Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, structural prints, and weld symbols
• Perform groove and fillet welds to required quality standards
• Inspect completed welds and make necessary corrections or repairs
• Maintain production requirements while ensuring weld quality
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Work extended shifts, weekends, and overtime as required by project needs
