Job summary

Tradesmen International is hiring experienced Structural Flux Core Welders for projects around Henderson, NV. This night shift role offers pay up to $35/hour plus a $120 per diem for travelers from 60+ miles to the jobsite.

You will weld structural steel, read drawings, and follow WPS to maintain quality and safety on site. Requirements include strong FCAW experience, ability to read fabrication drawings and weld symbols, and a safety-conscious, reliable work ethic.

Qualifications

• Previous structural steel welding experience required.
• Strong FCAW (Flux-Core Arc Welding) experience.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and weld symbols.
• Experience with heavy structural steel and fabricated assemblies preferred.
• Welding procedures specifications (WPS) understood and followed.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural welding on steel beams, columns, and assemblies.
• Weld light and heavy structural steel in fabrication shop.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings and weld symbols.
• Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and ensure weld quality.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Work extended shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Job Scope:

• Perform structural welding on steel beams, columns, and fabricated assemblies
• Weld light and heavy structural steel in a fabrication shop environment
• Complete structural steel prefabrication for data center projects
• Perform FCAW (Flux-Core Arc Welding) in accordance with project specifications
• Follow applicable Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, structural prints, and weld symbols
• Perform groove and fillet welds to required quality standards
• Inspect completed welds and make necessary corrections or repairs
• Maintain production requirements while ensuring weld quality
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Work extended shifts, weekends, and overtime as required by project needs

Requirements:

• Previous structural steel welding experience required
• Strong FCAW (Flux-Core Arc Welding) experience
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and weld symbols
• Experience working with heavy structural steel and fabricated assemblies preferred
• Experience working from WPS requirements
• AWS or other recognized structural welding certifications preferred
• Current or expired welding certifications are encouraged
• Ability to meet welding quality and production standards
• Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work in a fast-paced fabrication environment
