Job summary

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Structural Flux Core Welders for projects around West Jordan, UT. This night-shift opportunity offers pay up to $35/hour based on experience, plus $120 per diem for travelers 60+ miles from the jobsite.

You will perform structural welding on steel beams and assemblies, read drawings, and follow WPS. The role requires FCAW experience and the ability to meet production and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous structural steel welding experience required.
• Strong FCAW (Flux-Core Arc Welding) experience.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and weld symbols.
• Experience working with heavy structural steel and fabricated assemblies preferred.
• Experience working from WPS requirements.
• AWS or other recognized structural welding certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural welding on steel beams, columns, and fabricated assemblies.
• Weld light and heavy structural steel in a fabrication shop environment.
• Complete structural steel prefabrication for data center projects.
• Perform FCAW (Flux-Core Arc Welding) in accordance with project specifications.
• Follow applicable Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, structural prints, and weld symbols.
• Perform groove and fillet welds to required quality standards.
• Inspect completed welds and make necessary corrections or repairs.
• Maintain production requirements while ensuring weld quality.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Work extended shifts, weekends, and overtime as required by project needs.
