Job summary

Tradesmen International is actively hiring Traveling Structural Flux-Core Welders. The role offers up to $35/hour plus $100 per diem for travelers 60+ miles from the jobsite, with sites across multiple locations in the US including WI.

You will weld structural steel in fabrication shops, read drawings, and ensure quality while adhering to WPS and safety standards. Ideal candidates have strong FCAW welding experience, pass weld tests, and can work extended shifts, weekends, and overtime as

Qualifications

• Must pass various weld tests.
• Experience with structural steel fabrication.
• Strong FCAW/Flux-Core welding experience.
• Experience with heavy fabrication.
• Experience welding beams, columns, and structural assemblies.
• Proficiency with groove and fillet welds.
• Experience working from WPS requirements.
• Ability to read structural drawings and weld symbols.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural steel welding in a fabrication shop environment.

• Perform FCAW/Flux-Core welding in accordance with project specifications.
• Follow welding procedure specifications (WPS).
• Read and interpret structural drawings and welding symbols.

• Maintain production requirements while ensuring weld quality.
• Inspect completed welds and make necessary corrections or repairs.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Traveling Structural Flux-Core Welders. The pay rate is up to $35/hour plus $100/per diem to Travelers 60+ miles from the Jobsite. Job Scope:

• Perform structural steel welding in a fabrication shop environment
• Weld light and heavy beams, columns, and structural assemblies
• Perform FCAW/Flux-Core welding in accordance with project specifications
• Follow applicable Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
• Read and interpret structural drawings and welding symbols
• Perform groove and fillet welds to required quality standards
• Maintain production requirements while ensuring weld quality
• Inspect completed welds and make necessary corrections or repairs
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Work extended shifts, weekends, and overtime as required by the project

Requirements:

• Must pass various weld tests
• Previous experience with structural steel fabrication
• Strong FCAW/Flux-Core welding experience
• Experience with heavy fabrication
• Experience welding beams, columns, and structural assemblies
• Proficiency with groove and fillet welds
• Experience working from WPS requirements
• Ability to read structural drawings and weld symbols
• AWS or other recognized structural welding certifications are preferred
• Current or expired welding certifications are encouraged
