Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional Associate in the Northeast US. You will perform structural analysis and design, work with multiple disciplines, and support project delivery. The role requires strong communication, leadership, and a solid understanding of seismic and wind provisions.

The position supports hybrid work and offers competitive compensation. The ideal candidate has a PE license, 4+ years of structural experience, and proficiency with Navisworks/Bluebeam and US

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer License (PE or PEng).
• At least 4 years of Structural Engineering experience.
• Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI and AISC.
• Experience with Structural Engineering analysis software, Navisworks and Bluebeam.
• Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, perform conventional structural analysis and design.
• Plan and conduct work requiring judgement in evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques.
• Exhibit attention to detail and quality control, check own work and peer work.
• Take ownership of workload, meet schedules, budgets, and quality requirements.
• Develop leadership skills and provide guidance to designers/drafters and junior engineers.
