Job summary

Jacobs in the Northeast US is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional to join a design team focused on seismic and wind design for complex facilities. You will perform analysis, develop concepts, and produce engineering deliverables in collaboration with Lead Engineers and Designers.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering, PE license, 10+ years of experience, and proficiency with Navisworks and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer License (PE or PEng).
• At least 10 years of Structural Engineering experience.
• Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI and AISC.
• Experience with Structural Engineering analysis software, Navisworks and Bluebeam.
• Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• MS degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering or SE license.
• Experience in semiconductor industrial facilities.
• Experience leading medium teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for projects.
• Develop design concepts and communicate requirements with Lead Engineers and Designers.
• Lead or contribute as Lead Structural Engineer on projects.
• Coordinate with Lead, other disciplines, and Designers.
• Mentor designers/drafters and junior engineers.
• Ensure quality and compliance with codes and project requirements.
