Job summary

Jacobs in the Northeast United States is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional Associate to join the design team. You will perform structural analysis and design for complex projects, coordinating with the Structural Lead and other engineers to develop concepts and deliverables.

Required are a BS in Civil Engineering (Structural), PE/PEng, 4+ years of experience, and proficiency with US codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC) plus Navisworks/Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer License (PE or PEng).
• At least 4 years of Structural Engineering experience.
• Experience with US building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI and AISC.
• Experience with Structural Engineering analysis software, Navisworks and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Perform all conventional aspects of Structural Engineering analysis and design.
• Develop design concepts and communicate design intent on paper and in the model.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to designers/drafters and junior engineers.
• Manage workload, meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
