Job summary

Jacobs in the Northeast region seeks a Structural Engineering Professional Associate to contribute to significant structural analysis and design for advanced projects. You will work closely with the design team and other disciplines to develop concepts and produce drawings and models.

You will apply your strong communication skills, lead smaller tasks, and mentor junior staff while advancing workflows and adopting new technologies. A PE license and 4+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis.
• PE license or equivalent professional registration required.
• 4+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience with US building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC).
• Experience with structural analysis software such as Navisworks and Bluebeam.
• Experience designing traditional steel and concrete structures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform substantial structural analysis and design for projects.
• Develop design concepts and communicate requirements to drawings and models.
• Collaborate with the structural lead and other disciplines.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Advance workflows and adopt emerging technologies in structural practice.
