Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional Associate for the Northeast region. You will contribute to analysis and design of structural systems, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver robust, code-compliant solutions.

The role emphasizes ownership, mentorship, and advancing workflows in a hybrid working model. Candidates should have PE licensure, a Civil Engineering degree with a structural focus, and relevant manufacturing or industrial project experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis.
• PE license (PE/PEng) required.
• Minimum 4 years structural engineering experience.
• Experience with US building codes (IBC/ASCE7/ACI/AISC).
• Experience with structural analysis software (Navisworks/Bluebeam).
• Experience designing and analyzing steel and concrete structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong interpersonal skills.
• Leadership experience and ability to lead small teams.
• Home location in the Northeast US preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design under supervision.
• Develop design concepts and communicate requirements to draughtsmen.
• Coordinate with Structural Lead and other disciplines.
• Maintain quality and meet project schedule and budget.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
