Job summary

A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT) is seeking a Structural Technical Intern for our Mechanicsburg, PA office for the 2027 internship period. This paid full-time internship runs May–August 2027 with potential to transition into a Full-Time Junior Engineer role after graduation.

The intern will work under Project Managers and Team Leaders and collaborate with other engineers, gaining exposure to compliance reviews, cost estimation, data management, and report preparation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor or Associate degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0; must be at least 18 years old.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and detail oriented; willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support project tasks including regulatory reviews and cost estimates.
• Perform data entry, management, evaluation, and presentation.
• Assist in preparing reports, plans, and specifications for clients.
• May perform field assignments as needed; receive mentorship.
• Support other duties as necessary.
