Job summary

A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT) seeks a motivated Structural Technical Intern (STEM) to join the engineering team in Mechanicsburg, PA for the 2027 internship period.

This paid full-time internship runs May through August 2027 (flexible) with potential to become a Full-Time Junior Engineer after graduation. Under supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders, you will support various tasks, perform data entry and reporting, and may assist with field assignments.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor or Associate Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 and able to communicate well verbally and in writing.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Self-motivated, detail oriented, honest and hardworking.
• Willing to learn and grow in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Support project tasks including regulatory reviews, cost estimates, research and procurement support.
• Perform data entry, management, evaluation and presentation.
• Assist in preparing reports, plans and specifications for clients.
• Possibly participate in field assignments as needed.
• Work with mentors and team leaders to complete duties.
