Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT) seeks a motivated Structural Technical Intern for our Charleston, SC office for the 2027 internship period, May–Aug 2027 with flexibility.

The role offers paid full-time hours and a path to a Full-Time Junior Engineer role after graduation. You’ll work under Project Managers and Team Leaders, with mentorship, supporting tasks across regulatory reviews, cost estimates, reports, and plans, and may include field assignments.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point).
• Self-motivated, detail oriented person.
• Honest, fun, hard-working and ready to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Support various project tasks including regulatory requirements/reviews, cost estimates, research, procurement support, etc.
• Perform data entry, management, evaluation, and presentation.
• Support the preparation of reports, plans, and specifications for clients.
• May work on field assignments as needed.
• Will be supported by leaders, mentors, and teammates.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary
