A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT) is seeking a Structural Technical Intern to join our Columbus, OH office for the 2027 internship period. This paid full-time role runs May–August 2027, with potential to transition into a Full-Time Junior Engineer role after graduation.

You will work under project managers and team leaders, gaining exposure to regulatory reviews, cost estimates, reports, and field tasks while being mentored by a seasoned engineering team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor or Associates Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid technical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, detail oriented person.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
• Honest, hardworking and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support project tasks including regulatory requirements/reviews, cost estimates, research, procurement support.
• Perform data entry, management, evaluation, and presentation.
• Support the preparation of reports, plans, and specifications for clients.
• May work on field assignments as needed.
• Be supported by leaders, mentors, and teammates.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary
