Job summary

Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT) seeks a Structural Technical Intern for our Mechanicsburg, PA office for the 2027 internship period. This paid full-time role runs May through August 2027, with potential to move into a Full-Time Junior Engineer position after graduation.

You will be guided by Project Managers and Team Leaders and collaborate with other engineering staff. The internship emphasizes hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to regulatory, cost-estimating, and design

Qualifications

Pursuing Bachelor or Associate degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
Minimum GPA of 3.0.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Solid technical and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated, detail oriented and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

Support various project tasks including regulatory requirements/reviews, cost estimates, research, procurement support.
Perform data entry, management, evaluation, and presentation.
Assist in preparing reports, plans, and specifications for clients.
May work on field assignments as needed.
Will be supported by leaders, mentors, and teammates.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary.
