Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional in the Northeast region to join the design team. You will perform substantial structural analysis and design, collaborate with leads and designers, and help deliver projects in the industrial sector while meeting schedule and quality targets.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of structural experience, PE license, and proficiency with US building codes and design software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
• Professional Engineer License (PE or PEng)
• At least 10 years of Structural Engineering experience
• Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI and AISC
• Experience with Structural Engineering analysis software, Navisworks and Bluebeam
• Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ideally, MS degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering or MS in Structural Engineering
• Structural Engineer (SE) license
• Experience in semiconductor/general industrial facilities
• Experience leading medium teams

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design under supervision
• Develop design concepts and complete analysis and design work
• Coordinate with Designers to communicate structural requirements
• Lead medium-sized project teams or act as Sub Lead on larger projects
• Manage workload and forecast effort to meet schedule and budget
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to designers/drafters
• Advance workflows and embrace emerging technologies
• Ensure quality and technical accuracy of deliverables
