Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional Associate for the Northwest region. You will contribute to analysis and design for complex projects, interfacing with leaders, engineers, and designers to develop concepts, perform calculations, and deliver documentation that meets project requirements.

Ideal candidates have a PE license, at least 4 years of experience in structural engineering, and fluency with US building codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license (PE/PEng) required.
• At least 4 years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience with US building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC).
• Experience with structural analysis software (Navisworks, Bluebeam).
• Experience designing and analyzing steel and concrete structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design under supervision.
• Develop design concepts and coordinate with design team.
• Communicate structural requirements to paper and model.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of calculations and drawings.
• Mentor designers/drafters and junior engineers.
• Advance workflows and tools within the structural discipline.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and project teams.
