Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional in the Northeast region to lead analysis and design for complex facilities, including semiconductor and industrial projects. You will collaborate with engineers and designers, develop design concepts, and communicate requirements on paper and in models.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis, PE license, 10+ years of experience with US codes, and proficiency in Navisworks/Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer License (PE or PEng).
• At least 10 years of Structural Engineering experience.
• Experience with US building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI and AISC.
• Experience with Structural Engineering analysis software, Navisworks and Bluebeam.
• Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design under supervision.
• Develop design concepts and communicate requirements on paper and in the model.
• Collaborate with Structural Lead, other engineers and designers across disciplines.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to designers/drafters and junior engineers.
• Advance workflows and adopt emerging technologies in the structural discipline.
