Job summary

Brown and Caldwell is seeking a Structural Engineer to lead the structural design on diverse projects, delivering quality drawings and specifications. You will perform analyses, investigate existing conditions, and coordinate with multiple disciplines to ensure cohesive project delivery.

The role emphasizes ownership of the structural design, mentorship, and participation in a cross-functional team. Hybrid work is preferred with potential remote options based on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
• 5+ years structural engineering experience preferred.
• PE or SE licensure pursued encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of concrete, steel, aluminum, and masonry structures.
• Prepare structural drawings and specifications in compliance with codes.
• Investigate existing conditions and prepare detailed reports with recommendations.
• Coordinate across disciplines to resolve design conflicts.
• Provide construction phase support including RFIs and shop drawing reviews.
• Adapt to evolving project needs.
