Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional in the USA Southwest region to perform structural analysis and design across steel and concrete structures. You will collaborate with lead engineers, designers, and other disciplines to develop concepts, run analyses, and communicate design intent on project documents.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering, PE license, 4+ years of experience with US codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC), and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• PE/PEng license required.
• Minimum of 4 years structural engineering experience.
• Experience with US building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC).
• Experience with structural analysis software such as Navisworks and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Perform conventional structural analysis and design under supervision.
• Apply engineering judgement to evaluate and adapt techniques and criteria.
• Ensure accuracy and quality through peer and self-checks.
• Lead small teams and mentor designers/drafters as needed.
• Develop design concepts and communicate requirements on design documents.
