Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional in the USA (hybrid/remote in the USA Southeast Region) to join a design team. You will perform structural analysis and design, develop concepts, and collaborate with engineers and designers to document requirements in papers and models.

You will grow in fundamentals of Structural Engineering, expanding across subjects while taking increasing responsibility. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.

Responsibilities

• Perform conventional aspects of Structural Engineering and analysis.
• Develop engineering judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Communicate structural requirements to designers and other disciplines.
• Manage workload to meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
• Identify scope changes and elevate to Structural Lead or Project Manager.
