Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional to join our design team in the United States. You will assist in structural analysis and design for projects, developing concepts and communicating requirements with the Structural Lead, engineers, and designers.

You will build a solid foundation in structural fundamentals, gain cross-discipline experience, and take on increasing responsibility as you grow your career.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.

Responsibilities

• Perform conventional aspects of Structural Engineering and analysis under supervision.
• Develop engineering judgment and problem-solving skills and seek guidance when needed.
• Ensure quality control and check own work and peers' work.
• Manage workload, meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
• Identify scope changes and elevate to Lead or Project Manager.
