Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team in Hawaii. You will be integral to the design process, performing structural analysis and design tasks across projects, collaborating with Leads and Designers to ensure code compliance and project success.

You will develop design concepts, communicate requirements, and help deliver world-class facilities. The role emphasizes teamwork, quality, and career growth within a hybrid working model.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
• PE license (PE/PEng) is required or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI and AISC.
• Experience with structural analysis software and design tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design under supervision.
• Apply wind and seismic provisions per building code.
• Develop design concepts and communicate requirements to designers.
• Check calculations and provide mentorship to junior staff.
• Meet project schedules, budgets, and quality targets.
• Identify scope changes and elevate to Structural Lead.
