Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional to contribute to project teams in Honolulu, HI. You will perform structural analysis and design, collaborate with Lead Engineers, and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a hybrid work environment.

You will develop design concepts, ensure design intent is captured in documents, and contribute to on-time, within-budget project delivery while advancing technical and leadership growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• EIT Certification required or in process.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Experience with US building codes: IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform conventional aspects of structural engineering analysis and design under supervision.
• Plan and conduct work requiring judgement in evaluation and adaptation of engineering techniques.
• Exercise sound engineering judgement and escalate questions to seniors when needed.
• Apply wind and seismic provisions per building codes in designs and models.
• Check your own work and seek peer guidance to ensure accuracy and quality.
