Job summary

DeSimone Consulting Engineering is seeking a Project Engineer II (SPE) to support and manage the structural design process from concept through construction. You will lead portions of the design, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure deliverables meet design intent and standards.

You will work with Project Managers, mentor junior engineers, and engage with clients, balancing technical excellence with practical project outcomes.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Structural/Civil Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in structural design and analysis of mid to high‑rise buildings.
• PE license preferred or in progress.
• Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, RISA, ETABS, SAP, and RAM.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, materials, and construction methods.
• Excellent communication and client coordination skills.
• Proven mentoring and project leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed structural analysis and design using Revit, Rhino, RISA, ETABS, SAP, and RAM.
• Prepare structural plans, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Review and approve shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, clients, and municipal agencies to align structural solutions with project goals.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and BIM technicians on technical tasks.
• Participate in client calls and meetings, providing technical input.
