Job summary

DeSimone Consulting Engineering is seeking a Project Engineer II (SPE) to support the structural design process from concept through construction. Based in Boston or Foxborough, MA, you will lead portions of the design, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure deliverables meet standards and client goals.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Structural/Civil Engineering.
• 5–7 years of structural design and analysis experience.
• PE license preferred or in progress.
• Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, RISA, ETABS, SAP, and RAM.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and construction methods.
• Excellent communication and client coordination skills.
• Mentor junior engineers and BIM technicians.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed structural analysis and design using Revit, Rhino, RISA, ETABS, SAP, and RAM.
• Prepare structural plans, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, clients, and municipal agencies to align structural solutions with project goals.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and BIM technicians on technical tasks and best practices.
• Participate in client calls and meetings, providing technical input and contributing to project discussions.
• Support Project Managers with budgeting, scheduling, and project planning.
• Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and efficiency across all deliverables.
