DeSimone Consulting Engineering is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Overland Park team. You will support the structural design process from concept through construction, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality designs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience performing structural analysis and design.
• Experience using STAAD.Pro, RAM, ABAQUS, AutoCAD, Revit, IDEA StatiCa, and RAM Connections.
• Knowledge of local and national building codes and design best practices.
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for various building and infrastructure projects using engineering software.
• Prepare structural calculations, reports, engineering studies, and construction documents.
• Develop designs for steel, concrete, and other systems, including crane girders and long-span framing.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, contractors, and teams for project execution.
• Review drawings to ensure design intent and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain records of calculations, design decisions, and quality control reviews.
• Assist Project Managers with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and milestones.
• Support construction administration: RFIs, submittals, field issues.
• Contribute to client relationships and business development through responsive service.
• Foster collaborative culture and knowledge sharing within the team.
