Job summary

Hargrove Engineers seeks a junior Civil/Structural Engineer to perform complete design tasks under close supervision. You will contribute to larger projects, develop layouts, and prepare preliminary designs with material take-offs.

Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering degree, 1+ year industry experience, and familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and common analysis tools. EIT/PE is preferred; on-site work in Atlanta, GA is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university is required.
• EIT registration strongly preferred; Professional Engineer registration preferred upon eligibility.
• 1+ years of relevant industrial civil/structural engineering experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete design of less complex civil/structural engineering assignments under close supervision.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies for efficient solutions.
• Produce preliminary designs and material take-offs for project estimates.
• Check calculations for conformance to codes, specifications and standards.
• Coordinate with design leaders and drafting to ensure timely project completion.
