Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in the United States is seeking a civil/structural drafter for routine design tasks under close supervision. You will assist in designing smaller assignments and gain exposure to larger, more complex projects, aligning with project scope, specs, and design criteria.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), 2+ years of drafting experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD or MicroStation, plus MS Office.

Qualifications

• Ability to produce drawings for concrete and structural steel, and civil disciplines.
• Familiarity with construction bulk materials specifications.
• Knowledge and application of company engineering design and CAD drafting standards.
• Working knowledge of CAD software, either AutoCAD, Microstation or both.
• Gaining proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Good presentation skills.
• Virtual team skills and cross divisional relationships continue to develop, and providing interoffice execution support under close supervision.

Responsibilities

• Draft civil/structural plans under close supervision.
• Familiarity with department design and drafting standards.
• Familiarity with project scope, specifications and design criteria on task teams.
• Assist field teams in collecting design information and verifying designs for tie-ins, function and clearances.
• Recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly.
