Job summary

Hargrove and Associates, Inc is seeking a seasoned civil/structural engineer to design and oversee projects from concept through detailed drawings. You will perform calculations, prepare material take-offs, and ensure designs meet IBC and industry standards.

Collaboration with other disciplines and leadership of small teams are essential. The role requires 6+ years of relevant experience, PE preferred, and proficiency in STAAD, E3D, MicroStation, and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• 6+ years of relevant industrial civil/structural experience.
• Knowledge of the International Building Code and related standards (ASCE, AISC, ACI, etc.).
• Ability to lead small to medium teams and coordinate cross-disciplinary work.
• Field data collection and construction support.
• Proficient with civil/structural software such as STAAD, E3D, MicroStation, and Bluebeam.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive civil/structural design tasks within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop conceptual layouts, preliminary designs, and material take-offs for estimates.
• Check calculations and assist drafters/designers to produce final drawings.
• Coordinate with design leaders from other disciplines for information flow.
