Job summary
Hargrove seeks a senior Civil/Structural Engineer to lead the complete design of complex civil/structural projects, applying advanced analysis and code knowledge. Under general supervision, you will develop layouts, prepare estimates, produce design calculations, and support drafting and construction teams.
The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, PE registration, and familiarity with IBC/ASCE/AISC/ACI, plus CAD tools (AutoCAD or MicroStation).
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- Structural coursework is required for structural engineering positions.
- Professional Engineer registration is highly preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant industrial civil/structural experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform full design of complex civil/structural projects and develop design calculations.
- Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies to determine efficient approaches.
- Produce detail design calculations and sketches for materials of construction.
- Check calculations for accuracy and conformance to codes and design criteria.
- Lead small to large teams and coordinate inter-discipline delivery of scopes.
- Provide construction support and field data collection as needed.
