Job summary

Hargrove & Associates Inc. seeks a Structural Engineer III to lead civil/structural design efforts for diverse projects.

You will work under general supervision to develop layouts, perform calculations, and produce construction-ready drawings with a focus on efficiency and constructibility. You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, review vendor drawings, and assist with field data collection while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineer registration is highly preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant civil/structural engineering experience.
• Knowledge of IBC and related standards (ASCE, AISC, ACI).
• Experience with CAD and structural analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete civil/structural designs under general supervision.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies for efficient solutions.
• Produce design calculations, sketches, and material take-offs.
• Check calculations for accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with design leaders and drafting teams for smooth workflow.
• Lead small to medium project teams and deliver on commitments.
• Provide field data collection and construction support.
