Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Structural Certification Engineer II to join the MAU team. You will work on incorporating changes to in-service aircraft interiors and certify modifications to TSOA seats and related furniture.

The role requires a STEM degree with relevant experience and familiarity with FAA/EASA certification processes. This on-site position in Winston-Salem offers competitive benefits and opportunities for professional growth within Collins.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) plus minimum 2 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • FAA requires a bachelor’s degree focused in mechanical, aeronautical civil, chemical, textile or other relevant engineering.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for access to information under this program/contract.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical knowledge and coordinate with cross-functional engineering, certification, and program management teams.
  • Conduct or witness testing, analysis, and design reviews to show compliance with 9g Static, 16 Dynamic, HIC, Mass Retention, etc.
  • Generate and check compliance plans and documents to support TSO, PMA, and STC Approvals.
  • Participate in training to grow talent and process development.
  • Act as a team player across the organization and uphold the values and vision of Collins Aerospace.
