Job summary

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, is seeking a Structural Certification Engineer II for the Interiors team in Winston-Salem, NC. The role covers showing compliance of interior components with federal standards and supporting modifications to aircraft.

Onsite work location is Winston-Salem, with collaboration across Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams. You will perform static and fatigue analyses, define repair concepts, and prepare formal reports for internal and external customers,

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 2+ years of related experience or an advanced degree.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Experience with static stress and fatigue analysis using classical methods and FEA.
• Familiar with load paths, free body diagrams, load balance and failure modes.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analyses using hand and computer methods for aerospace components.
• Define and document repair designs for metallic and composite structures.
• Collaborate with MRB and regulators to develop repair instructions.
• Prepare engineering reports supporting repairs for customers.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities across product lines and processes.
• Improve engineering workflows and automate repetitive tasks.
