Qualifications

  • Requires STEM degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with static stress and fatigue analysis using classical methods and FEM.
  • Experience with load paths, free body diagrams, load balance, and failure modes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analyses using hand and computer calculations, including static analysis of aerospace components.
  • Define, assess, and document repair designs for metallic, bonded metallic, and advanced composite aerospace structures.
  • Work with MRB and regulatory authorities to develop standard repair instructions.
  • Analyze repair proposals and prepare formal engineering reports supporting minor and major repairs for internal and external customers.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Support corrective action and defect reduction initiatives by identifying recurring technical issues.
  • Develop and implement processes, methods, and tools that improve efficiency throughout workflows.
  • Apply CORE tools and continuous improvement principles to reduce process turnbacks.
