Job summary

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, is seeking a flammability engineer for the MAU team to certify seating modifications and ensure compliance with 14 CFR 25 standards. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with engineering, certification, and program management to support TSO/PMA/STC approvals.

Requires a STEM degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, U.S. citizenship, and experience with FAA/EASA guidance, testing, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Past experience on cross-functional teams is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is expected.

Responsibilities

• Show compliance of commercial seats with federal/industry standards for modifications.
• Work with engineering, certification, and program management in a fast-paced environment.
• Prepare compliance plans and documents for approvals (TSO/PMAs/STCs).
• Participate in training to grow talent and process development.
